Jackie Brown aka Jackfacekillah is a graphic designer and illustrator based in San Francisco. Her work is bold, colorful, and simple. She is inspired by her background, 90s/00s nostalgia, vintage cars, positive messaging, and graphic patterns.
“Everything I love about summer is the inspiration for the blanket. Seasonal fruits, road trips, vacations, and folks sporting bold colorful prints.”
Q&A with Jackie:
PLUNGE: What is your favorite place to swim or perhaps use a picnic blanket?
JACKIE: Welp, I don’t know how to swim. But if I were to pick a favorite water spot, I’d say China Beach. For picnics, Golden Gate Park for sure.
Any recommendations or fun stuff you are into that you think we should know about?
Two new children’s books that I’m stoked about, because they used cut paper/collage for the whole book. Nice to see artists create and experiment off-screen:
1. Dad by Christian Robinson
2. The Cow in the Dark at Night By Jess Hannigan

Any art advice that drives you or that you would give to the younger you?
Work Hard and Be Nice to People By Anthony Burrill
Who are three artists you love?
1. Rose D’Amato
2. Joonbug
3. Kyndacee
What do you want people to know about you and your work?
I’m just trying to brighten folks’ days with my work
☺
